Dahab is the perfect place for beginners to learn to dive and offers some fabulous dive sites that are very easy to get to. Come to our Career Centre and get that extra effort in your training.
Take a look under our Kids section as well, as all of these courses have Junior equivalents
National Geographic Diver Course
This is a highly recognized course taking 5 days, leading to the award of the prestigious PADI National Geographic Diver, a partnership between PADI and National Geographic that is only offered at very few centres who meet rigorous standards. The course is your Open Water beginner’s course but with the addition of extra dives, environmental knowledge and skills being taught - If you’ve already tried a PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience or are PADI Scuba Diver certified, check with your instructor to see how credit from these courses may apply to the open water program. If you’ve already completed the shallow water and classroom sections of the PADI Open Water Diver course at home, you can complete your diving training with us and as well as enjoying our reefs, you can convert the dive element to being National Geographic
Open Water Course
This is regarded as the worlds leading entry level diving qualification, and with us we guarantee you a high quality education, as well as fun in the process. The course takes 4 days and allows you to practice skills in shallow water before doing your final 4 open water dives and really getting to grips with the underwater world. You can use this qualification anywhere in the world and be sure you have the knowledge to dive safely and happily with your dive buddy. There is a small amount of time needed for classroom work and there are some options on the Open Water course to ensure it fits in with your lifestyle. You have a number of ways to complete this and we have highlighted them below;
Full Course
You can come to us and let us do all the work over 4 days. If you can read the manual in advance that is perfect but otherwise let us teach you the full course.
Fast Track
You can either buy the PADI ‘Go Dive’ manual yourself or we can send it to you and if you read through it and complete the knowledge reviews, or else take advantage of the e-learning system and again complete the knowledge reviews, then you can come out to us ready to hit the water. You will just need to take the confined water and open water elements and you will be an Open Water Diver after 3 days. The only thing we ask is you bring your completed knowledge reviews with you.
Referral
If you have started your training at home and completed the theory and also the confined water pool work, then all you need to do is get a referral form off your instructor and head on out. We will recognise that form and finish your 4 Open Water dives for you in your first 2 days, allowing you to dive with a guide for the rest of your holiday.
e-Learning
If you want to get all the classroom work out of the way then sign on for e-Learning on our web page. You complete everything including exams, and you come to us to do the water element over 3 days
We also have a package available to allow you to gain maximum benefit and complete either your PADI National Geographic Diver or PADI Open Water Diver combined with the PADI Advanced Open Water course – contact us for the information on this – it is the perfect training package if you are out with us for a week
Scuba Diver Course
The PADI Scuba Diver course takes around 2 to 3 days, and is for those interested in trying Scuba for the very first time, and although not the full Open Water Course you learn the basics of diving by taking around 50% of the Open Water course and leaving with a PADI Scuba Diver award. This allows you to dive anywhere in the world in the company of a PADI Professional. An ideal course for those who have taken an intro but don’t have the time for the full Open Water course. The added benefit is that it fully credits to your Open Water course should you wish to take that in the future!
Discover Diving Package
We have put together a package for those that want the adventure holiday, without any of the arrangements. Take a look on the price list for this one, which includes your Open Water and Advanced Open Water courses plus 7 nights accommodation in the Oricana and your transfers between Sharm and Dahab. Just add a flight (see our flights page under Dahab information) and you are here.
