Poseidon Divers: Mashraba centre

Poseidon Divers is a long established European owned dive school and pride ourselves on our reputation for thoroughness and friendliness. We are lucky to be based right in the heart of the main bay area here in Dahab called Mashraba, which means we are a stones throw from the water and the main restaurants including one of the main bars in Dahab. This is a great location.

Our confined and open water areas are only 10 metres from the centre which means that not only can we be flexible with timetables, but we don’t have unbearably early starts or set times to be at the jetty!

The best part...

The best part of the dive centre is its relaxed attitude to life, which ensures that you wont have to rush around, getting kitted up at the last moment or will have any of the stresses and strains that are occasionally prevalent in other centres. We are different to a lot of dive centres in that we will not compromise our high standards of training and safety for any reason. This is a claim made my many, but we mean it, and it is demonstrated in our recruitment policy of only employing the most qualified and experienced people who can also demonstrate excellent customer service skills. We have mastered combining safety and fun and we are sure you will agree.

Our position..

We are positioned slightly back from the main street and it allows you to chill out between dives. This really is life in the slow lane – the most effort required is putting your kit in the back of the truck or putting it on before falling in the water.

We will not only deliver more, but we will make it enjoyable and stress free and we guarantee to be consummate professionals who are totally focused on your safety. We won’t guide you around like sheep, or take you to the sites we want to go to – your choices count, and we will schedule our day around you.

If some of your family or group members are non-divers, then we can organize non diving activities such as horse riding, jeep or camel safaris. Just ask us and we’ll be happy to help. Let us know when you are thinking about coming to Dahab and what you are interested in doing and we will organise a great diving holiday for you all. We can also arrange your accommodation and transfer to and from the airport.

Facilities...

The dive centre has many facilities to ensure that the diving is fun, but also that the pre and post diving activities are too. All our dives are guided and group sizes are limited to 6, safety is a priority, full first aid and oxygen kits are sent on all dives with our first-aid/oxygen provider trained staff.

We have personal lockers, drying rooms; out-door relaxing areas and a snack bar which means that you can use the centre to relax in after diving. Outside we have tables and chairs for you either to take a lesson on, or to take full advantage of the sunshine and cooling breeze! We also have ample teaching space and classrooms (with air conditioning) which all have the latest instructional materials along with full audio visual facilities which can be used by visiting groups for presentations, videos and class-room sessions etc.

There is also in-house videography, and photography and whether you want to hire your own equipment or use the services of a professional the options are there. We have Canon A540 cameras which are available for rental, and you even have the option of printing out your digital stills afterwards and purchasing them on a CD.

Compressors...

Producing our air and Nitrox is a state of the art compressor system involving three compressors able to meet the high demands that we expect of it on a daily basis. As our compressor incorporates a Haskell booster pump we can provide any desired mix of Nitrox to 220 bar pressure. Our compressors are well maintained and serviced regularly. As well as this we exceed the British air test standards and have displayed the air purity test certificate for customers to see. All of our compressor staff are trained in the use and maintenance of the system and all are advanced gas blender certified.

And finally...

Finally, we have our boats, which are our pride and joy. Well equipped with modern marine electronics, they can reach the sites far to the South that are currently unused, but in comfort.
