Course Overview
This course is designed to be an introduction to search and recovery diving and to help the student diver develop the necessary skills and knowledge for safe search and recovery diving.
The Search and Recovery Diver course includes the following:-
• The planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems, and hazards of search and recovery diving
• Limited-visibility diving and underwater navigation techniques
• Proper techniques and safety considerations for object location, including the use of various search patterns, lines and reels
• Proper techniques and safety considerations for recovery of objects using various lifting devices

| Status: You must hold a valid Advanced Open Water certificate (or equivalent) OR be a PADI Open Water Diver with PADI Underwater Navigator Speciality to start this course. Minimum Age: 12 Medical: You must complete a PADI medical form before you start this course. A copy of this form is available for download if you wish to complete one before you come here. Equipment: Full equipment hire is provided as part of this course. If you have your own kit already you can of course bring it with you! |
